Our Partners
Sir John Brunner Foundation
We are a proud part of the Sir John Brunner Foundation. Our aim, for every student, is to enhance and advance their life through the highest standard of education in each of our academies. We do this by promoting an environment where students and professionals feel they belong, are treated with care and compassion and where we achieve excellence in everything we do.
We strive to achieve continual improvement in all aspects of our work, ensuring resources are used as efficiently as possible for the benefit of our students and professionals.
Students have the chance to work alongside peers in Trust schools e.g., Mathematics competitions, Drama productions and Sports days.
Learners benefit from the best teaching, learning and extracurricular offer through our staff colleagues at all levels working collaboratively together to deliver the very best available to the children and families we serve.
MALC
The Macclesfield Academy Learning Community (MALC) is a vibrant partnership of the Academy and its partner primary schools: Ash Grove, Gawsworth, Hollinhey, Ivy Bank, Parkroyal and Wincle. Together we work on a variety of issues of benefit to us all, including assessment, provision for the most able, S.E.N.D, staff training and holiday schools. Our transition programme is an important part of this partnership and ensures that all of our Year 7 children join us with a strong sense of what it is like to be an Academy student.
We work closely with Macclesfield College to guide students into aspirational Post 16 courses, both academic and vocational.
The Macclesfield Academy is a highly valued ITE Partner of the PGCE Secondary Programme at Manchester Institute of Education, School of Environment, Education and Development, University of Manchester.
