Y10 Students Learn About Infectious Diseases With Erik Vennant
Back
Year 10 triple science class were visited today by Erik Vennant to talk about his work as both a member of the RBA initiative in Tanzania and as a PHD student at Manchester University studying Antibiotic resistance in dentistry. The students have just begun their unit on infectious diseases and this was a lovely way to introduce the topic and look at infectious disease in the wider world. The RBA initiative is a charity in Tanzania that is spreading awareness of disease transmission and prevention as well as working on improving drug effectiveness. Erick introduced himself and then worked with the students as they looked at different pathogens and the diseases that they caused.
