Apprentice of The Year at TMA

TMA's Lab technician apprentice, Maggie Gayes, was recently voted Apprentice of The Year at an awards ceremony in Macclesfield.  Maggie, who is currently studying under the Maxim apprenticeship scheme with Macclesfield College, has been working at The Macclesfield Academy for just over two years.  At the end of her apprenticeship, which completes at Easter, Maggie will have achieved a Level 3 BTec award in Applied Science as well as the Laboratory Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard.

Mrs Ainsworth, Head of the Science department at TMA said: "We are very proud of Maggie.  She is an amazing addition to the team and her work behind the scenes ensures our science lessons always run smoothly and safely"
