TMA Announces New Student Leadership Team
Back
We are delighted to confirm our new team of School Captains. Starting this half-term, Alys, Izzie, Seth, and Nas will take on these vital roles. All four students are highly regarded within the TMA community. They will lead our wider student leadership team, representing the school and supporting their peers.
Each captain brings unique talents to the role: Izzie is well-known for her fantastic amateur dramatic performances, while Alys is a key member of the school netball team. Seth recently spoke in the Adlington New Town debate and serves as a French Language Ambassador, and Nas is an active school council member and a dedicated volunteer.
In an exciting development, our School Captains are joined this year by our first-ever House Captains. Selected from Year 10, these four students will spearhead House events, including inter-House competitions and Sports Day. Our inaugural House Captains are Grace, Eliza, Syon, and Phoebe.
The team boasts a brilliant range of interests: Syon is a talented cricketer, Eliza loves to dance and recently introduced British Sign Language (BSL) to our enrichment curriculum, Phoebe has proudly represented the school on multiple occasions, and Grace is a passionate sports enthusiast with a particular love for volleyball.
Mrs Kyaligonza, who oversees the Student Leadership team and led the selection process, shared her enthusiasm: "We are really looking forward to seeing what this new team of captains will achieve. They are a fantastic, skilled, and passionate group of students who care deeply about our school. I know they will work hard to leave a lasting, positive legacy for younger year groups."
