Transition and Careers Day

On Monday, we welcomed Year 6s into the Academy with a transition day full of activities. They met their forms and teachers, took part in lessons and made new friends.  

Mat Galvin Headteacher said:  

“It was a joy to welcome our new starters to TMA. Full credit to Mrs Bedson and our student helpers for making the day go so smoothly. We've heard great things from our Primaries about the Year 6 cohort and they shone brightly on the day. We can't wait for them to get started in September.”  

At the same time, Years 7, 8 and 9 enjoyed their careers day with special visits from AstraZeneca, the banking, finance and legal sector and those in emergency services. They learnt about a range of career paths and had the opportunity to learn about different professions from the experts first-hand.
