TMA Rowing Team achieve personal bests

The TMA Rowing team took to the oars at the All Aboard Youth Rowing Indoor Championships in Warrington yesterday to compete against 18 other schools in the area.

Isabella D, Phoebe H, Isabella G, Grace G, Bailey D, Mellie W, Riley B, Logan H, James B and Alex W were a credit to the school and each managed to row a personal best.  Phoebe was in the top third of performing girls and Logan was our best performing boy.

Mr McCabe, the PE teacher who has been training the team, said: "I am so proud of all the team.  They each put in 100% effort and when they were not rowing they were all supporting each other."

In the relay races TMA finished 8th out of 18 teams in both the Open and the Girls' event.

TMA did manage to achieve a Silver medal, but that was in the staff event!  Well done Mr McCabe!
