Proposed Admissions Policy Consultation
In line with the statutory duty of admissions authorities to consult if changes are proposed to admissions arrangements, please find attached the proposed Admissions Policy for The Macclesfield Academy for the 2026-2027 school year, which now includes the following additional criteria:
Criteria Changed
Children of parents who have been employed by the Sir John Brunner Foundation for 2 years or longer at the closing date for applications, whose principal place of work is The Macclesfield Academy (as per contract of employment). A parent is any person who has parental responsibility or care for a child and lives in the same family unit at the same address for the majority of the school week.
Staff should complete a Supplementary Information Form and submit this to the Admissions Officer at school at the time of application.
We invite you to comment on the proposed change in the consultation period which will run until 30th January 2025.

Comments submitted to us will be considered by our Governors after the consultation period ends.
